Every photographer knows that a new lens can transform their images. For example, a fisheye lens brings a whole new, different and exciting perspective to the work of any photographer.
There are many other examples of how new products, new technology and new approaches have transformed the world of photography.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the UK life market which, despite the potential, has stagnated through a lack of real innovation. Earlier this year, Cigna announced its plans to work together with its affinity partners to breathe new life into the market, with an exciting range of new products and marketing solutions – extending our partner proposition beyond travel, health, accident, legal and income protection.
In this edition of the newsletter, we focus on the changing life insurance protection needs of the over 50s and how this makes them an attractive market for affinity partners. We show how, with the launch of the Cigna Over 50s Life Plan – which offers significantly better value for eligible customers* than many of the other over 50s guaranteed acceptance whole of life plans in the marketplace, we are helping our partners engage with this fast changing market in new ways.
As well as the regular business update, we also outline what we are doing to help those customers with serious or more complex medical conditions buy travel insurance. Cigna is one of the UK’s travel insurance market leaders and can deliver a solution that transforms what for many people can be a lengthy and fractured application process into one that is seamless and quicker.
